Hey there, I’m Brandi Johnson, but most people know me as BrandiJ — a storyteller at heart, radio personality turned podcaster, and the voice behind “LAB – Life After with BrandiJ.” For years, I graced the airwaves as an on-air radio personality with 790 AM / 104.9 FM in Nashville (formerly 760 AM The Gospel). Those years taught me how to connect deeply with people — through stories, laughter, and raw, unfiltered conversations about real life. But when the mic turned off and life got quiet, I found myself facing my own “Life After.” After heartbreak. After loss. After change. After everything I thought I had figured out. That’s where LAB was born — not just as a podcast, but as a space for healing, truth-telling, and transformation. Every episode is rooted in transparency and growth, giving people permission to be human while inspiring them to believe that “after” doesn’t mean “over.” It means becoming. I’ve built my platform around that belief — creating safe, real, and often humorous conversations about relationships, healing, faith, family, and finding your purpose again. Whether I’m interviewing guests on LAB Live, sitting down with my sister Inger for “First Saturday Sit-Downs,” or writing heartfelt blog posts on TheRealBrandiJ.com, my goal is simple: to remind people that they can grow through what they’ve gone through. Outside of the mic, I’m a proud mom of two, a woman rediscovering her own worth, and someone who believes in second chances — in life, in love, and in yourself.
